Meet Tayshiem A. Harper, a dedicated servant, creative mind, natural leader, and passionate entrepreneur. Hailing from the vibrant city of Martinsville, Virginia, Tayshiem's journey has been marked by his unwavering commitment to influence, advocate, and support those around him.

 

After graduating high school in 2014, Tayshiem embarked on a dual path, pursuing his studies in General Studies at Patrick Henry Community College while also dedicating himself to a full-time role in Customer Service. This period of his life not only honed his academic and professional skills but also instilled in him a deep sense of responsibility towards his community.

 

In addition to his academic and professional pursuits, Tayshiem is the founder and chairman of The Better Way Foundation, Inc. Guided by a mission of commitment to individuals, households, and communities, The Better Way Foundation serves as a catalyst, providing numerous resources and aids to those in need. It aims to be a bridge between communities and governments, impacting the present while securing the future. Their vision, encapsulated in the phrase "lending hands, building futures," reflects their dedication to making a meaningful impact locally and nationally.

 

Today, Tayshiem stands as a pillar in both his local and global communities. As a council member on the SOVA Reentry and Resource Council, he actively contributes to initiatives aimed at supporting individuals transitioning back into society. Additionally, Tayshiem is an integral part of the Relational Community, a network spanning across various countries, where he continues to foster connections and promote positive change.

 

At the core of Tayshiem's endeavors lies his profound faith and dedication to serving others. With a fervent belief in putting God first in his life, he proudly serves as an ordained deacon, intertwining his spiritual values with his commitment to community service.
